What are vectors or vector images?
A vector or vector image is an image that is based on mathematical formulas. Unlike other types of formats that we can find on the Internet, it is not divided into minimum units of information such as pixels (px), but rather into color spots and lines.
They are built from "vectors", which are objects defined by a set of points in series. They can be modified to give one way or another to the resulting image, which is what we usually see online (and which you can also download on the pages I mention below).
And, why is it recommended to use them in our Online content?
Very easy. As I just told you, since these elements do not depend on a grid made up of pixels, vector images are independent of resolution .
Therefore, they are able to maintain optimal sharpness and quality, despite being considerably enlarged in size.
This is a great advantage for its use on the web, since as you know, we are continually editing the size of the images according to the convenience of each digital project.

16 Free vector banks to download and use on your website or blog
Once we know the advantages of having this type of elements within a Web and the ability of these vector images to make our content more attractive, I would like to recommend some pages.
These are the ones that I (along with my team) use on a day-to-day basis and that allow us to better illustrate and layout the articles of my projects and those of my clients:
1.Freepik
Freepik, free vector bank
Undoubtedly, this is one of the platforms that is always in all the "pools" of the best pages with free images , both to download icons, free vectors, banners and photographs of all kinds.
Also, in my case, Freepik is the platform that I use in all my projects, even in my own blog, both to download vectors for the cover photos of my articles , as well as for my landing pages.
By downloading them on this page, you receive on your compressed device:
A file in EPS format.
Another element in PNG format.
In this way, you can both use the PNG directly in your digital project, as well as open PhotoShop and edit the EPS to your liking, making as many modifications as you like.
2. Deposit photos
Free Image Bank Depositphotos
Depositphotos is an international image, music and video bank that reached 210 million files in 2021.
All files available for download have been carefully selected by AI algorithms and content managers.
Depositphotos's free library contains 70,000 files, including photos, vectors, illustrations, and videos . Free licenses allow you to use files in commercial or personal projects, in digital or print media.
3. Vecteezy
Vecteezy, Free Vectors
From Vecteezy you have the possibility of having free vector elements to use in Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop or any image editing program of this type.
Of course, just at the moment of downloading them, you will be able to read next to the “Download” button that most of them require attribution to the author , so you must carefully attend to these instructions, otherwise you would be incurring legal problems.
Today that the "flat" elements are in fashion and many of the bloggers of the moment use them, on this platform you will find thousands of examples to choose from.
4. Vexels
Vexels - Free Vector Benches
This Web portal has a large number of original vectors and every day they add around 10 or 20 more, so you will always find material to download to your local devices.
Actually, using Vexels is very easy, since it is an intuitive and easy to use page. And what is better: it allows you to edit them online , without the need to previously download them in the original format.
Although much of its database is free, it has payment plans from €8 to €750 per month , which includes the possibility of having a greater amount of visual content, in case of managing many projects at the same time.
5.Pixabay
pixabay
Today, Pixabay 's free image gallery houses more Philippines Photo Editor than 1 million photos , illustrations, and vector graphics in the public domain, that is, free to use without the need to mention the author.
Even so, if you decide to download free vectors here, my advice is to check the basic premises of use, right on the landing page of each of the elements you want to download to use in your Online projects.
The formats available on this page are: PNG, SVG and EPG .
6. Vectorized
Vectorized - Free Vector Banks
Really, in cases like the ones I explain in this post, many of the best-known platforms implement elements with similar characteristics. However, this does not happen in Vectorized .
Here you will find vectors to download in EPS, PNG or SVG, so that you can use them freely on your website or blog, once you register and log in to the platform.
The originality that «Vectorized» adds contrasts with the quality in a certain way. Although you will be able to differentiate yourself from your competition, not coinciding in their graphics, perhaps this page lacks a step to "rub shoulders" with the large image banks.
